What are the factors that cause cancer?

Factors that cause cancer What are the most important factors that cause cancer? Genes? Pollution? Diet? Smoking? None of them. The most relevant factor to the incidence of cancer is age. Besides age, do other factors related to cancer exist? The answer is yes! The root cause of cancer is genetic mutation. There are about 20,000 genes in the human body, and there are hundreds of genes related to cancer. If one or several of these cancer-causing genes are mutated, the probability of cancer occurrence will be greatly increased. The reason why genes are mutated is related to cell division. Every time a cell divides, a mutation is created, and if the mutation occurs in a key gene for cancer, cancer will occur. Then the elements that produce cancer: the number of cell divisions, the number of mutated genes produced per division, the probability that the mutated gene is an oncogene, and the probability that the immune system removes the cancer cells. The ones marked in red are the ones we can control and change. I. The number of cell divisions Cell division occurs during growth or tissue repair. If the number of cell divisions increases dramatically. The chance of developing cancer increases, then let’s look for these factors. Look at some of our habits: 1, smoking: damage to the respiratory tract and lung tissue, lung tissue repair constantly; cell division increases, resulting in increased chances of lung cancer. 2. Eating too hot, too spicy food; ditto – increased esophageal cancer 3. Exposure to the sun, increased skin cancer 4. Eating too fine, constipation occurs – damage to intestines; increased colon cancer Viral diseases 1. Hepatitis B – virus damages liver cells – increased liver cancer 2. Chronic obstructive pulmonary; silicosis; tuberculosis – damage to lung tissues – increased lung cancer II. Immune system Probability of removing cancer cells 1. The enhancement of immune system function is closely related to our mood. A good state of mind and resistance to stress will keep the immune system in a healthy state; 2. A moderate amount of exercise can enhance physical fitness and strengthen immunity. Therefore, the chance of cancer will be greatly reduced by quitting smoking, limiting alcohol, changing bad habits, maintaining an optimistic state of mind and exercising in moderation.
