Most parents already know that they need to get their babies vaccinated on time, but there are many new parents who don’t take immunizations seriously enough. What exactly do you need to pay attention to before and after vaccination?
1. Know the vaccines to be vaccinated. Parents should strictly follow the prescribed immunization procedures and times, and not just advance them, let alone stop halfway. The mother must know in advance what kind of vaccine she is going to give her baby, so that she can have a good idea.
2. Know your baby’s physical condition. Babies who are suffering from eczema, hives, and those with allergic constitution should explain their situation to the doctor before vaccination and suspend the vaccination, especially before vaccination with measles vaccine and diphtheria vaccine, which are stronger allergens and more likely to cause allergic reactions and aggravate eczema and other symptoms. You can wait until you have recovered your health and then make an appointment with your doctor for vaccination. In addition, some vaccines cannot be administered in cases of fever, diarrhea, empty stomach, vomiting, etc. In general, as long as the baby is not in good health, the mother should promptly communicate with the doctor to see if the vaccination can be given or if it needs to be postponed.
3. After vaccination, the mother should take the baby to stay in the vaccination unit for 30 minutes to observe the baby’s reaction after vaccination until there is no abnormal condition before she can leave. If there is fever, vomiting and other conditions, seek help from the doctor in time.
4.Baby’s physique is very different, so the reaction after vaccination is not the same. Some babies may experience short periods of irritability, fever and loss of appetite, and some babies may have a rash after vaccination, which are normal and generally do not require special treatment and can subside on their own. However, parents also need to observe carefully, for baby fever, physical cooling method can be used to reduce fever, do not easily give baby antipyretic drugs, if the baby continues to high fever does not go down, then take the baby to the hospital for treatment.
