Nodular enlargement of the left adrenal gland means that the CT examination of the adrenal gland reveals that the volume of the left adrenal gland is slightly larger than the normal side, but no adrenal nodules or tumors of the adrenal gland are found, so it is necessary to further combine the biochemical tests of the adrenal hormone series and the patient’s symptoms to decide whether treatment is needed. Sometimes adrenal hyperplasia does not show elevated hormone levels and the patient does not have any symptoms, so no treatment is needed at this time, and only dynamic review of the adrenal CT is required. If the hyperplasia gradually increases in size or forms adrenal adenoma-like changes, and the patient shows symptoms of elevated adrenal hormone levels, such as increased blood pressure, palpitations, obesity, and hormonal disorders, then treatment is required. However, if long-term follow-up shows only mild hyperplasia with normal adrenal biochemical hormone levels and no symptoms, no treatment is required and regular clinical follow-up is all that is needed.
