Pain to the temples after wisdom tooth extraction is most likely due to greater surgical damage and irritation of local nerves, thus resulting in more pronounced and extensive symptoms. Part of it may also be due to post-extraction dry socket syndrome. In addition, due to prolonged tooth extraction and prolonged mouth opening, some patients may develop temporomandibular joint disorder and thus the pain may also reach the temples. A detailed examination can be done at the hospital to clarify the presence of the disease. It is also not possible to exclude the possibility that the patient has a dry socket.
