What are the advantages of laparoscopic surgical treatment of common bile duct cysts?

Traditional open surgery for congenital common bile duct cyst has large incision, heavy trauma, exposure of intestinal ducts, more chances of adhesions, slower postoperative recovery and longer hospital stay. Laparoscopic surgery for congenital common bile duct cyst is favored by many scholars because of its small trauma, fast recovery of gastrointestinal function and less adhesions, and some scholars believe that it can be regarded as the gold standard for the treatment of congenital common bile duct cyst. The advantages of laparoscopic surgery: 1. The laparoscopic lens can reach into the hepatic hilum and the surgical field is clearly revealed, which overcomes the disadvantages of open surgery due to the deep location of the hepatic hilum and the difficulty of exposure. 2. 2. After the tissue is magnified 4-8 times by laparoscopy, the microstructure of the tissue around the cyst, such as the branches of the hepatic artery and portal vein and the capillary network around the cyst, can be clearly displayed, which facilitates the accurate dissection of these tiny vessels by electrocoagulation, reduces bleeding and avoids damage to the hepatic artery, portal vein and pancreas, and the anastomosis is accurate. 3.Small surgical blows, short average hospital stay, fast recovery of gastrointestinal function, and avoidance of post-operative intestinal adhesion obstruction. 4.Small incision, light postoperative pain, unknown scar, and good long-term effect.
