Omeprazole Take One or Two Capsules

Whether to take one or two capsules of Omeprazole orally is impossible to generalize, and needs to be determined based on the specific disease, severity of the condition, and drug specifications.
Omeprazole is mainly available in 10mg and 20mg dosage forms. In general, the recommended dosage for peptic ulcer is 20mg. If you use the 10mg size, you need to take 2 capsules orally; if you use the 20mg size, you need to take 1 capsule.
In the treatment of reflux esophagitis, the recommended dose of omeprazole is 20 to 60 mg, and 2 to 6 capsules need to be taken orally if the 10 mg size is used, and 1 to 3 capsules if the 20 mg size is used.
Omeprazole is well tolerated, only individual patients may experience side effects such as diarrhea, headache, abdominal pain, nausea, flatulence, constipation, etc. The drug is contraindicated in infants and young children, severe renal insufficiency, and patients who are allergic to this drug.
