What does liver dissection mean?

Liver anatomy often refers to the anatomical structure of the liver, including its morphology, location, and adjacency.
1. Morphology: The liver is irregularly wedge-shaped. It is divided into two sides, upper and lower, and four margins, anterior, posterior, left and right.
2. Location: Most of the liver is located in the supra-abdominal region and the right quartal region, and a small portion is located in the left quartal region. Most of it is covered by ribs, and a small portion may be exposed between the right and left costal arches in the supra-abdominal region, in direct contact with the anterior abdominal wall.
3. Adjacent: The liver is located below the diaphragm, and above the diaphragm are the right pleural cavity and the right lung. The lower left lobe of the liver is adjacent to the stomach; the lower right lobe of the liver is adjacent to the colon.
The liver is an important organ in the human body, with a variety of functions, including participation in the synthesis of proteins, lipids and other substances; participation in the conversion and detoxification of hormones, drugs and other substances; secretion of bile and so on.
