Bowel resection surgery is not absolutely safe and recurrence is possible after bowel resection surgery. Bowel resection surgery is the preferred treatment option after diagnosis of intestinal malignant tumor. As long as the tumor is found in time and there is no distant metastasis, blood-lymphatic metastasis, or metastasis to other organs, surgical treatment is generally available. Surgery cannot completely remove all the tumor cells in the body, and if there are residual cancer cells, there is a possibility of recurrence after surgery. Therefore, after surgery for intestinal tumors, it is necessary to combine the results of pathology and immunohistochemistry examination to further cooperate with postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment measures, and to follow up regularly to observe whether there is any sign of recurrence after surgery. Postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy can effectively reduce the chance of postoperative recurrence and improve the cure rate of surgery.
