How to do the new crown antigen test

New crown antigen testing generally includes steps such as disinfection check, obtaining samples, testing antigen results, and disposing of waste. 1. Disinfection check: Before using the new crown antigen test kit, you should first disinfect your hands. Then check whether the package of the kit is intact, whether there is any damage, whether the reagent has expired, etc., so as not to affect the test results. 2. Obtaining the sample: Clean the nasal passages and tilt the head back slightly. Use one hand to hold the end of the nasal swab to enter from one side of the nostril, and then slowly go deeper into the nasal cavity, rotate inside the nasal cavity 4-5 times, and then use the same nasal swab to repeat the same action in the other nasal cavity. 3. Detection of antigen results. Immediately after sampling, put the nasal swab into the sampling tube and stir it in the preservation solution for about 30 seconds, then press the outer wall of the sampling tube to squeeze out the liquid from the head of the swab, and then remove the nasal swab and put it aside temporarily. After covering the cap of the sampling tube, put 2-3 drops of the liquid in the sample port vertically in the s-hole of the test card and observe the result after 15 minutes. If the test card shows a red or purple band at C but not at T, it is negative; if both C and T show a red or purple band, it is positive; if C does not show a red or purple band, the result is invalid regardless of whether or not T is shown. 4. Disposal of waste: Whether the test result is positive or negative, nasal swabs, samplers and other test items should be put into sealed bags and disposed of as medical waste.
