Why athletes suffer less from mental illness

There are statistics that show that athletes suffer less from mental illness, so why is this a clinical phenomenon? The main reason is that according to the dopamine hypothesis, schizophrenia, the patient’s brain dopamine neurotransmitter release disorder increases, and athletes through high doses of exercise, through the somatic consumption of a large number of dopamine transmitters, so that the brain dopamine, an excitatory neurotransmitter stable, regular, controlled release and consumption. The current hypothesis for affective disorders is the 5HT hypothesis, where the somatic consumption may be minimal, but the exercise produces endocannabinoids, which are also excitatory transmitters and can produce pleasurable experiences. This also reduces the chance of depressive disorders. Sports and cultural performers are reasoned to be as well, but athletes are more pronounced.
