We have prepared a set of instructions for amniocentesis at our center for you and your family to understand the whole process of amniocentesis. 1.After registration, please wait for the number to be called in the lobby. Your consultation number and doctor’s name are located in the lower left corner of the registration invoice. 2.You can eat and drink normally before and after the consultation. 3.After the number is called, please go to the corresponding consultation room. If there are still patients in the consultation room, please wait for a while. 4.Preparation before the consultation: If you have already built a big card in the hospital, please bring the big card with you; If you do not have a big card, please show all the previous test reports (you can take photos or have online report card); If you have been tested recently, and there is no fever, cold and other special conditions, there is no need to test blood routine again before puncture, please show the blood routine report card to the doctor; If there is no recent blood routine report, you need to see the clinic after billing If there is no recent blood test report, you need to see the outpatient clinic and give the order for the test, which is located at the 4th floor of the outpatient building, 358 Dalin Road (Red House opposite to Ji’ai Outpatient Building). 5.Preparation for puncture: normal diet; no symptoms such as cold, fever, abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding, diarrhea, etc. on the day. 6.Targets for puncture: pregnant women from 16 weeks to 28 weeks, the pregnancy week can be relaxed in special cases. 7.Current indications for amniocentesis in our center: high risk for Down’s syndrome screening; high risk for non-invasive prenatal screening; advanced age (greater than or equal to 35 years old); abnormal B-ultrasound signs; pregnant women with bad maternity history; pregnant women who have given birth to deformed children or children with mental retardation; pregnant women with low intelligence; others. 8.Location of amniocentesis: 4th floor operating room of Shanghai Ji’ai Genetic and Infertility Clinic (588 Fangxie Road) 9.Time of amniocentesis: If there is no special notice, it will start at 13:30 on time from Monday to Saturday 10.Cost of amniocentesis: amniocentesis + amniotic fluid cell culture chromosome examination + SNP gene chip test = 4800 RMB, report time 2 weeks, telephone notification will be made. The report will be notified by phone in 2 weeks. After the notification, the report can be picked up by courier or please come to the pre-screening desk with the paid invoice. After filling out the courier order, please remember the courier order number. 11.After paying the fee, please print out 5 barcodes of identification information at the nurse’s workstation and give them to the outpatient doctor for identification of specimens. 12. If there are no special circumstances, outpatients in the morning can arrange for puncture in the afternoon. 13.Patients who are outpatients in the afternoon of the same day need to arrange for the puncture to be done in the afternoon of the next day, or postponed in case of holidays. 14.Special notice: All prenatal amniotic fluid reports will be notified to you or your family by phone, and will be postponed in case of holidays. 15.Note for amniocentesis will be listed separately. Rest for half an hour after the puncture procedure, and leave the hospital on your own without any special circumstances.
