The main method of prenatal diagnosis is amniocentesis, while low risk does not require amniocentesis.5 Serological screening is usually not recommended for pregnant women older than 35 years old in our country, and amniocentesis is directly recommended.6 There are two problems with Down’s serological screening: First, the false positive rate is high, and only one real pregnancy with Down’s syndrome is found in an average of 40-50 pregnant women with high risk of Down’s syndrome in our center. The second is that there are false negatives, our center has encountered many patients with Down syndrome after birth, a considerable number of pregnant women have done Down’s serology screening, but for low risk, there is no further diagnosis, which is the most frightening false negative. 7, our center more than 35 years old pregnant women directly amniotic fluid, there is also the vast majority of pregnant women are pregnant with a normal fetus. The majority of pregnant women are carrying normal fetuses, and these pregnant women have amniocentesis as a chaperone.8 Non-invasive prenatal screening also draws the blood of the pregnant woman, but the check is for fetal DNA, which is different from the nature of serological Down’s syndrome screening.9 The detection rate of non-invasive prenatal screening for trisomy 21, trisomy 18 and trisomy 13 is comparable to that of amniocentesis, because the most serious chromosomal disorders of the fetus are the above three, which also avoids many unnecessary amniotic fluid Therefore, our country now allows non-invasive prenatal screening.10 Since there are still some sex chromosome abnormalities that cannot be detected, the scope of non-invasive prenatal screening is not as wide as that of amniocentesis.11 For the detection of trisomy 21, trisomy 18 and trisomy 13, less than 1 million cases of non-invasive prenatal screening have been done internationally, and there are also about 10 cases of Down’s syndrome has been missed, and it is true that the study has nothing to do with the operation and method, so non-invasive prenatal screening can also have false negatives and is inevitable.
