Patient Gao XX, male, 49 years old, registration number 166149, was admitted to the hospital on August 6, 2012 with “right lumbar abdominal pain for five days.” He was admitted to the hospital on 2012-8-6 with “right upper ureteral stone and left kidney stone”. He was admitted to our hospital on August 6, 2012 with “right upper ureteral stone and left kidney stone”. The patient was transferred to our hospital and admitted to our urology department. After detailed examination and demonstration by our medical staff, both kidneys were considered functional. In order to actively save the function of the left kidney while avoiding damage to the right kidney, elective right ureteroscopic lithotomy was performed and left percutaneous nephrolithotomy was performed at the same time; after removing the right ureteral stone and most of the left kidney stones in the first stage; furthermore, a second stage percutaneous nephrolithotomy was performed one week later to remove the left kidney stones. The patient recovered well after the operation without any adverse complications, and the ECT examination showed that the function of both kidneys was significantly restored.
