Individualized varicose vein treatment

The traditional method of high ligation and segmental stripping of the saphenous vein has been replaced by advanced techniques due to its multiple incisions, lack of aesthetics, long hospital stays and complexity.        At present, all mainstream minimally invasive procedures can be performed, depending on the patient’s condition, mainly: 1) Saphenous vein trunk stripping and varicose vein TRIVEX system debridement. A small incision is made at the root of the thigh and medial ankle to locate the trunk of the saphenous vein, insert a stripper and strip the trunk; the varicose vein mass is then rotated and suctioned out with the TRIVEX rotator, the wound is removed after 10 days of compression bandaging of the affected limb, and elastic stockings are worn for 3 months. This method is also particularly useful for patients with severe varicose veins, as it is less invasive and patients can get out of bed on the first day after surgery. This technique has a small surgical incision, low incidence of postoperative infections and complications such as blood clots, short hospital stay, usually 1-3 days to discharge, small postoperative wounds and does not affect the aesthetics, and is of particular concern to women who love beauty. (2) Laser treatment: The laser fiber is placed into the vein, and the endothelial lining of the saphenous vein is fibrotic with the help of the high heat of the laser, causing the vein to be occluded and blocking the backflow of blood. The residual branches of the varicose veins are treated by electrocoagulation, which is a quick and safe procedure with quick recovery, short hospital stay and aesthetic appearance. It is suitable for patients with relatively mild symptoms.
