Sulbenicillin sodium is an anti-inflammatory drug, which is a broad-spectrum semi-synthetic penicillin antibiotic. It has antibacterial effects on Enterobacteriaceae bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Aspergillus, Enterobacter, Salmonella spp. and Shigella spp. and Gram-negative bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Sulfobenzycillin sodium also has antibacterial activity against Streptococcus haemolyticus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Staphylococcus that do not produce penicillinase. The main indications for sulfobenzycillin sodium are for Pseudomonas aeruginosa, certain Aspergillus, and other Gram-negative bacilli that are sensitive to this product, pneumonia, urinary tract infections and sepsis, etc., as well as others such as abdominal infections and pelvic infections. In combination with anti-anaerobic drugs, it can also act as an antibacterial agent. The use of this product is mainly intravenous drip. Other indications include respiratory system, such as chronic bronchitis and pneumonia, and urinary system, such as pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, etc. Others, like gynecological diseases, include uterine inflammation, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc. Others include sepsis, subacute bacterial endocarditis, otitis media, mumps, etc., all of which can be treated with anti-infective sodium sulfobenzylpicillin.
