Ovulation is the first day after menstruation

For women with regular menstrual cycles, ovulation is 14 days before the next period, usually 7-10 days after menstruation clears, depending on the menstrual cycle. For women who usually have a menstrual cycle of 28-30 days, ovulation occurs on the 14th-16th day of the menstrual cycle; if the period is long, lasting about 1 week, ovulation occurs about 1 week after the end of the period; if the period is short, lasting only 3-4 days, ovulation occurs about 10 days after the end of the period. However, women with regular menstrual periods can accurately predict ovulation, such as combining basal body temperature, observing the nature of leukorrhea, ovulation test strips and ultrasound to detect follicle development, etc. It is more accurate to determine ovulation. Therefore, it is recommended that those who are preparing for pregnancy should choose to have intercourse during ovulation to improve the chances of conception, but should avoid having sex too often.
