What is micropigmentation?

The so-called micropigmentation is not a drastic surgery. Micropigmentation includes minimally invasive surgery, preferably without incisions, of course, through injections for cosmetic surgery purposes. Injection of own fat, because there are shortcomings such as absorption, unevenness, tedious process and multiple surgeries, artificial materials came into being. Mainly divided into injectable drugs and injectable filler materials. The commonly used injectable drug is Botox, which is used to eliminate facial power wrinkles, that is, there are no wrinkles when there is no expression, but crow’s feet, Kawasaki lines, and head lines appear when laughing or talking. By paralyzing the facial muscles and controlling facial expressions, Botox can achieve the purpose of eliminating the above wrinkles. Other so-called whitening injections, human placenta, sheep placenta, stem cells, etc., have not been officially certified internationally and on the mainland, and their ingredients, safety and efficacy are in doubt, and regular medical institutions do not have these items. Injectable filler materials, the main ones that have been internationally recognized and approved by the mainland Drug Administration are hyaluronic acid and Iveran. The filler material is to fill the volume and is used to shape. For example, to fill in the kind of wrinkles that exist even if you don’t smile (including tear troughs, frown lines, nasolabial folds), or to augment the temples, apple muscle, nose augmentation, chin augmentation, breast augmentation, etc. Hyaluronic acid is the safest and commonly used is the Swedish imported Rilan, which is completely absorbed after half a year or 1.5 years depending on the model, leaving no aftereffects, but must be replenished regularly. Iveran can last for 3 years, 10 years or even permanently depending on the model. It is not easy to choose different materials according to the patient’s requirement and injection site. Besides strict sterilization, it is necessary for the doctor to inject the material into the correct skin level and shape it correctly according to the different materials and injection sites. Even if the materials are safe, improper use can lead to adverse consequences.
