Prostate cancer medication precautions?

Any drug treatment may have side effects, and prostate cancer endocrine therapy drugs are certainly no exception. We will introduce them below to facilitate understanding and proper prevention. As already described, both drug depot, estrogen, and anti-androgen drugs are used to treat prostate cancer by blocking the action of androgens. But androgens in the human body, in addition to promoting the growth of prostate cancer cells, are themselves a very important substance that plays a vital role in promoting the development of reproductive organs, the emergence of secondary sexual characteristics and the creation of sexual desire. When androgens are lowered in the body, some patients will often feel flushed and hot, and may even experience feminization of the male breast with breast swelling or tenderness, while some patients will be easily fatigued and drowsy. These symptoms tend to improve gradually and do not require special treatment. In addition to these immediate symptoms, patients with long-term androgen depletion levels may experience long-term adverse effects, commonly including osteoporosis and muscle atrophy. Treatment of prostate cancer along with aggressive prevention can minimize the occurrence of adverse events. It must be re-emphasized that patients should take their medications strictly in accordance with the treatment regimen established by their physicians and not change or discontinue them on their own. Not only is this detrimental to treatment, but when certain symptoms occur, it is very difficult for physicians to make the correct management measures without knowing how the patient is actually taking the medication.
