Baby jaundice sunbathing how long appropriate

The appropriate duration of sun exposure for baby jaundice depends on the type of jaundice and the intensity of light exposure, and there are individual differences. Jaundice in babies is divided into physiological jaundice and pathological jaundice. If the jaundice is physiological and the symptoms are mild, you can choose to sunbathe to promote the natural disappearance of jaundice, but special attention should be paid to not having any shade, and sunbathing is best chosen before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m. The time spent in the sun should be gradual, at first it is recommended that each time 10-15 minutes, 1-2 times a day is appropriate. If the weather is good and the sun is sufficient, you can extend the time of sunbathing appropriately. However, care should be taken to avoid excessive time to avoid dry, rough and red skin. The baby’s sunbathing area is mainly the back and buttocks, hands and feet, avoiding direct sunlight on the baby’s eyes, and pay attention to control the room temperature to avoid getting cold. In addition, if your baby has pathological jaundice, or if the symptoms of jaundice are severe and the jaundice does not subside after sunbathing, it is recommended to go to the pediatric department of a regular hospital in a timely manner so that a professional doctor can develop a reasonable treatment plan according to the individual situation.
