How to replenish qi and blood in summer

In summer, Chinese medicines such as Ba Zhen Wan (八珍丸), Ginseng Nourishing Glory Pill (人参养荣丸), and Internal Tonic Astragali Soup (内补黄芪汤) can be used to replenish qi and blood, but the specific medication to be used needs to be decided by the doctor according to the patient’s symptoms.
1. Eight Treasures Pill is composed of Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng, Poria, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (fried), Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, Radix Glycyrrhizae. It is used for symptoms such as yellowish complexion, loss of appetite, weakness of limbs and excessive menstruation caused by deficiency of qi and blood. It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to this product and its ingredients.
2. Ginseng Nourishing Glory Pill, composed of ginseng, Atractylodes macrocephala (earth fried), Poria, Radix Astragali, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata and so on. It is used for the deficiency of heart and spleen, deficiency of qi and blood caused by thinness and fatigue (lack of spirit), loose stools (thin and unformed feces), and post-disease weakness. It should not be taken by patients with cold and fever.
3. Internal tonic Astragalus Soup is used to treat carbuncle and gangrene (a kind of poisonous sore, which is an acute suppurative disease occurring on the surface of the body, limbs and internal organs) after ulceration, with deficiency of both qi and blood. Symptoms include: carbuncle and gangrene on the back, deficiency and lack of qi after ulceration, painful ulcers, or sores that do not converge for a long time, scanty pus, little food and lack of taste. It is forbidden to use in the early stage of sores and pus-forming stage when the heat and poison are still strong.
