What is gallbladder pus accumulation? We all know that cholecystitis is divided into acute non-lithic cholecystitis and acute lithic cholecystitis. Pus accumulation in the gallbladder is a common and serious complication of both types of cholecystitis. First of all, pus accumulation in the gallbladder due to acute non-lithiatic cholecystitis is often associated with gallbladder ischemia and gallbladder anticipation. Once the gallbladder artery that nourishes the gallbladder is occluded, the gallbladder will become ischemic and hypoxic because there is no remaining compensatory blood supply to the gallbladder. Secondly, pus accumulation in the gallbladder induced by acute calculous cholecystitis is often caused by blockage of the bile duct by bile duct stones. When gallbladder stones are embedded in the neck of the gallbladder, the bile excretion in the gallbladder is obstructed and the pressure in the gallbladder increases continuously. As the disease progresses, the bile pigments in the bile will be absorbed by the gallbladder mucosa, thus turning the bile into a transparent, colorless, viscous liquid, which is called “white bile”, and this is also the early manifestation of gallbladder abscess. This is also the early manifestation of gallbladder abscess. Once the bacteria in the gallbladder start to multiply and proliferate, this “white bile” will form an abscess in a short time, which is acute purulent cholecystitis.
