Kidney cancer is known as renal cell carcinoma. Currently, embolization of the blood supplying artery of kidney cancer via arterial route has become a new method of treatment for kidney cancer. It has the advantages of small damage, fast recovery, precise curative effect and low cost. Its indications are as follows: 1.Patients with advanced kidney cancer and metastasis, which are no longer suitable for surgery, can inhibit tumor growth and achieve the purpose of tumor reduction through interventional embolization; 2.Patients with poor physical condition, who cannot tolerate surgery or are unwilling to have surgery, interventional embolization is the preferred treatment method; 3.Patients with recurrence after surgery and radiotherapy, can prevent tumor growth and recurrence through interventional embolization; 4.Patients with kidney cancer and bleeding can be treated through interventional embolization 5. Interventional embolization before nephrectomy can reduce intraoperative bleeding and adjacent tissue adhesions, so that the surgery can be completed more smoothly; 6. Targeted drugs + PD-1 inhibitors can improve the efficacy; 7. Interventional embolization for small kidney cancer can achieve the same efficacy as surgery. Interventional embolization has been widely used in clinical practice because of its advantages of low trauma and high efficacy.
