After being hit on the head, the patient needs to go to the emergency department or neurology department of the hospital for CT examination immediately in order to clarify whether there is any traumatic hemorrhage or skull fracture in the skull. If the first CT report suggests negative and no clinical symptoms such as headache, nausea, vomiting, etc., it is recommended that another CT review be performed after 6 hours to rule out delayed intracranial hematoma. If the patient has no problem on the first CT examination but has accompanying symptoms such as severe headache and vomiting, a CT review is also needed after 6 hours. If the CT examination reveals a problem, a third review is needed 24 hours after the injury to ensure that there is no error. If the patient’s first intracranial CT examination does not reveal any problems after the head hit, it is best to stay in the hospital for 24-72 hours for observation to rule out delayed cerebral hemorrhage and other conditions.
