Desensitization therapy is preferred for patients with allergic rhinitis

More and more people are suffering from allergic rhinitis today. According to statistics, allergic rhinitis accounts for about 43% of all rhinitis, and there is also a part of mixed rhinitis, accounting for about 34%, which means that the proportion of allergy-related rhinitis is as high as 77%. Although the condition can be temporarily relieved by a series of symptomatic medications, allergic rhinitis will recur as long as the allergens remain. Therefore, the WHO recommends a combination of “symptomatic + causative” approach for the treatment of allergic diseases to achieve twice the effect. Allopathic treatment, also known as specific immunotherapy, is different from the existing drug treatment. It is done by gradually increasing the dose of allergen extract (allergen is what we call allergen), and after reaching a certain dose, if the patient is exposed to the allergen again, his symptoms will be reduced or even not attacked. Specific immunotherapy improves the patient’s immune mechanism and is the only allopathic treatment that may affect the natural course of allergic diseases. At the same time, its effects can continue after the end of treatment, and in individual patients can even have lifelong effects. Immunotherapy is a gradual process, often taking 3 to 4 years. Its effects are not so rapid and obvious as those of allopathic drugs. Don’t interrupt your treatment just because you can’t see the effect for a while, then you will really lose everything. Immunotherapy is the fundamental method to get rid of allergic rhinitis completely.
