Focus on early intervention for pneumoconiosis

Pneumoconiosis is a chronic disease for which there is no cure. Acute attacks aggravate the patient’s symptoms and the patient will seek medical attention on his own initiative. Early pneumoconiosis has no obvious discomfort and work life is not affected in any way, so it is not taken seriously. As the disease progresses, lung function decreases and patients experience breathing difficulties, affecting their quality of life, when often the damage to the patient’s lung function is irreversible. Therefore in order to allow pneumoconiosis patients to breathe freely, improve their quality of life and achieve a long life with the disease, attention must be paid to early intervention in pneumoconiosis. Once the diagnosis of pneumoconiosis is confirmed, immediate measures should be taken. One, get out of the dusty environment. Second, quit smoking, which is very important. Third, lung function exercise. Our department has prepared a set of breathing exercises suitable for pneumoconiosis patients, and the nurses lead the exercises every afternoon. Pulmonary function exercise is not an overnight thing, it is important to persist, it can play a very good effect. Fourth, do not use antibiotics indiscriminately.
