What does proliferation of lymphoid tissue in the nasal cavity mean?

Nasal lymphatic tissue hyperplasia should be clinical nasopharyngeal lymphatic tissue hyperplasia, nasopharyngeal lymphatic tissue mostly refers to the pharyngeal tonsils. Mostly, long-term chronic inflammation of adenoids or inflammation of neighboring parts such as nasal cavity, sinuses, tonsils spread to the nasopharynx, which caused lymphatic tissue hyperplasia in the nasopharynx.
Under normal physiological circumstances, children 2-6 years old adenoid hyperplasia exuberant, 10 years old gradually shrink, to adults is basically disappeared.
There are abundant lymphatic tissues under the mucous membrane of the nasopharynx, and lymphatic tissues have certain immune effects. Due to irregular life, fatigue, repeated invasion of bacteria and viruses into the nasal and pharyngeal cavities causing infections will lead to the appearance of nasopharyngeal lymphatic tissue hyperplasia. If the hyperplasia is excessive, it can seriously affect the ventilation of the upper respiratory tract, causing the airway from the nasopharynx to the larynx to be blocked.
If the hyperplasia is not severe, regular follow-up is sufficient and surgery is not necessary. On the other hand, if the hyperplasia is too serious and seriously affects the ventilation function of the nasopharyngeal lymphatic tissue hyperplasia, and even causes symptoms of the ear, nose, throat and lower respiratory tract; or open-mouth breathing leads to adenoid facies; or there are symptoms of malnutrition, unresponsiveness, teeth grinding, and urination, then surgical resection is needed.
It is recommended to go to the local regular hospital to consult the doctor and choose the appropriate treatment plan.
