Is a terminal cancer patient counting down the days of his life?

Terminal cancer does not mean that life has been counted down, the exact survival time is related to the severity of the cancer and the treatment. Cancer is a condition in which normal cells of the body are affected by cancer-causing factors and become cancerous. Since cancer cells will continue to proliferate in the process of development, once cancer reaches an advanced stage, it means that the cancer cells have already metastasized and spread, leading to abnormalities in various tissues and organs, and even endangering lives in serious cases. However, this is not absolute. If the patient suffers from some cancers with lower malignant degree and slower development speed, such as thyroid cancer, colorectal cancer and skin cancer, etc., and actively cooperates with the doctor’s treatment, the patient may still have a longer survival period even if the disease has developed to the advanced stage. If the patient suffers from more serious cancers, such as pancreatic cancer, liver cancer and stomach cancer, the possibility of cure is lower, and the patient can only prolong his/her life through reasonable treatment. Therefore, terminal cancer patients should strictly follow the doctor’s arrangement, keep an optimistic mindset and strengthen daily care to avoid deterioration of their condition.
