It is well known that tubal problems account for 40-50% of the causes of infertility. Hysterosalpingography is mainly used to understand the causes of primary or secondary infertility in women: firstly, it gives a clearer picture of whether there are any congenital malformations or pathological conditions present in the uterus; secondly, whether the fallopian tubes are patent; and then, the pelvic cavity and whether there are pelvic adhesions. Through hysterosalpingography, the causes of infertility can be understood through the above three aspects. In addition, hysterosalpingography has a pregnancy-promoting effect, and about 30% of pregnancies occur after the imaging. The effect of hysterosalpingography on infertility: 1. The contrast has a mechanical flushing effect on the fallopian tubes. 2. Iodine water can be evenly coated on the mucosal surface of the fallopian tubes, which can give full play to the local bactericidal effect of iodine. 3. Contrast may be able to improve the role of cervical canal mucus environment.
