If testicular asymmetry includes asymmetry in testicular position and asymmetry in both testicular volume, then possible causes: 1. If testicular position is asymmetric, common causes include epididymitis, orchitis, testicular torsion, varicocele and other diseases. When suffering from the above diseases, such as epididymitis, orchitis and varicocele, the testicle position on the diseased side is usually lower than the testicle position on the normal side. Because of the enlarged size of the testicle, the testicle naturally droops. Varicocele is the accumulation of saphenous veins in the scrotum, resulting in a drooping scrotum and an accompanying testicular descent. When testicular torsion occurs, the testicle on the affected side is higher than the testicle on the normal side, and the testicle is fixed and immobile, and painful when touched by hand. 2. Asymmetry in the volume of the testicle is common in diseases such as testicular syringomyelia, spermatic syringomyelia, traffic syringomyelia, and testicular tumors. When the above diseases exist, the volume of the testicle on the affected side is larger than that on the opposite side. If various kinds of effusions exist and are wrapped around the testicle, the scrotum is enlarged and the testicle on the affected side appears to increase in volume when touched by hand. When a testicular tumor occurs, the testicle appears to increase in size and harden in density, which is similar to the feeling of touching a stone when you touch it with your hand. It is recommended that further ultrasound examination be performed to clarify the cause of testicular asymmetry, and then targeted treatment should be carried out.
