Severe diabetic foot can be cured

I would like to introduce a case of severe diabetic foot being cured, which is a patient I treated in 2006, and I hope you can learn from it. The patient, male, 69 years old, Beijing native, retired physical education teacher. In August 2006, he was swimming in a moat and was injured by a dirty object under the water, which was not detected in time because of diabetic nerve damage and dull sensation. 2 days later, his whole foot was red, swollen and painful, and he could not walk, accompanied by high fever, chills, nausea and vomiting. The condition was further delayed and the fever did not subside, and he was transferred to our clinic only 5 days after the injury. Expert comment: Through this case, I hope clinicians and patients understand the following: 1. 2, diabetic patients should pay attention to their feet every day, and once problems occur, they must go to a professional institution that treats diabetic feet, because not just any hospital can cure diabetic feet. 3, the treatment of severe diabetic foot requires patience and care, not the slightest hesitation when it is time to strike, and do not be afraid of tediousness in the daily work, every detail may determine success or failure. 4, the patient is very lucky in two points: the first is not too late, there is still a chance to save; second is that although the infection and necrosis is very serious, but the diabetic vascular sclerosis is not very serious, the blood vessels are not completely blocked, the wound has a more adequate blood supply. Diabetic patients need to know this: only with sufficient blood supply, in order to achieve the purpose of limb preservation, the smooth flow of blood vessels is the basis of limb preservation. 5, diabetic foot is a critical condition, the treatment must be a combination of Chinese and Western medicine, both internal and external treatment. In other words, even if all the methods available to human beings are used, it is not known whether they will be successful in the end, not to mention that some patients or doctors are still biased, some firmly do not believe in Chinese medicine, some firmly do not do surgery, some are also afraid to use insulin, those preconceived rules and regulations will only make the disease worse. Those who use a “miracle drug” can save the diabetic foot, is completely fictional, there is no panacea in the world, only profound basic knowledge, coupled with care, persistence and care for patients, in order to be able to treat successfully. 6, the last point to add: diabetic patients do not go swimming in the moat.
