Is the right thalamic rounded abnormal signal foci dangerous?

The right thalamus with round-like abnormal signal foci has different etiologies and different degrees of risk, which cannot be generalized.
1. Tumor lesions: when performing head MRI, right thalamic round-like abnormal signal foci may be found, which may be the manifestation of glioma or metastatic tumors in other parts of the body. If the local lesions continue to increase in size, the normal function of the brain will be affected, and abnormal manifestations such as numbness, pain, and movement disorders of contralateral limbs will occur, which is therefore more dangerous.
2. Other lesions: such as microhemorrhage, cerebral infarction and demyelinating lesions, right thalamic round-like abnormal signal foci may also appear, which can be prevented and treated according to the cause, and therefore are relatively less dangerous.
When right thalamic round-like abnormal signal is found, it is recommended to make a clear diagnosis under the guidance of a doctor and then target treatment.
