Left vocal fold mucosal hemorrhage; left vocal fold polyp

Patient: Description of condition (onset time, main symptoms, hospital visited, etc.): Hoarseness for 20 days; laryngoscopy was done at Liaocheng People’s Hospital and the diagnosis was a polyp on the front of the left vocal cord. On June 27, after your consultation and review of the laryngoscopy report, the vocal folds were congested and swollen, requiring electronic laryngoscopic surgery. After that, I went to the research building and had another electronic laryngoscopy. What I saw on the examination: the left vocal cord mucosal bleeding front end bean size polyp bulge, good vocal cord movement poor closure, smooth hypopharyngeal mucosa. Diagnosis: left vocal fold mucosal hemorrhage, left vocal fold polyp. Because I reacted too much during the laryngoscopy, I was always nauseous and wanted to vomit. The doctor told me that I had been anesthetized enough and the mucous membrane of the vocal cord was severely congested, so I was advised to operate in January. I would like to ask Dr. Cai what other medications I should take during this month, in addition to my diet and vocal rest. Thank you for your help and guidance! I am so worried that I will be nauseous and vomiting during my next checkup. Cai Xiaolan, Department of Otolaryngology, Qilu Hospital, Shandong University
