How to treat acute nephritis in children

The treatment of acute nephritis in children includes general treatment, anti-infection and symptomatic treatment. 1. General treatment: (1) Rest: if edema is significant or complicated by infection or severe hypertension, bed rest is generally required. (2) Diet: children need to follow the doctor’s advice to limit the intake of sodium and water for a short period of time, and do not need to strictly limit salt after the disease is relieved. 2. Anti-infective treatment: give antibacterial drugs, such as cefixime, when there is an infected focus. 3. Symptomatic treatment (1) Diuretic: patients need to control water, salt intake, but also available diuretics, such as hydrochlorothiazide, ineffective use of furosemide. (2) Lowering blood pressure: those with high blood pressure should take antihypertensive drugs, such as captopril, nifedipine and so on. When acute nephritis occurs in children, parents should take them to the hospital in time, standardize the treatment under the guidance of doctors and avoid self-medication.
