Do you know anything about cerumen?

The Spring Festival soon passed, visiting friends and relatives found a problem, it turns out that some of the minor problems often do not pay attention to, or the whole was ignored. The child of my wife’s old aunt is about 20 years old, and the girl is quite pretty and tall. In the course of conversation, I found that she had a lot of earwax in her ears, commonly known as earwax. I also studied otolaryngology, so my professional problem prompted me to examine her thoroughly and found that the ear canals of both ears were stuffed with cerumen plugs, yellowish brown and hard. Upon asking her, there was no hearing loss, ear pain, etc., and no discomfort whatsoever. She quickly found an ear digger, looked at the cerumen, and carefully removed it bit by bit. Since there is no professional frontal mirror or otoscope, I could only remove the large clumps that were obvious on the outside. The ones inside could not be seen so we waited until we had time to take them out later. Cerumen plugs are very common and people tend to ignore the existence of them, and serious ones can fill the ear canal tightly. At that time, if it swells with water, it can cause ear pain. When you look at my wife’s brother’s girl both ears are also full, and after the cerumen plugs are removed these two little girls have said that they listen to the outside world more clearly and their hearts are brighter. People tend to use ear-digging spoons to remove earwax by themselves which is also a bad hygiene habit, and some people used to use matchsticks to pull out even worse. The hard stuff will often damage the skin of the outer ear canal, leading to bleeding, infection and chronic irritation leading to otitis externa. You should use sterile cotton swabs and tighten the cotton to prevent loosening left in the external ear canal. Regular checkups at the ENT department are like medical checkups to eliminate the accumulation of more and more dirt. We are urged to learn more about how to hurt our children today if they are in pain again. Cerumen plug is not a disease, but often ignoring it is not. How about your child?
