Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is the preferred method for the treatment of complicated kidney stones, but it is also a high-risk procedure with high equipment and instrument requirements, and it is prone to complications such as heavy bleeding and serious infection, so many doctors in China are afraid to carry out this type of surgery. I have mastered the latest technology and methods of percutaneous nephrolithotomy through further study at UCLA in the United States, and have applied them to my patients after returning to China, achieving very good results, greatly reducing the risk of surgery and improving surgical safety and surgical results. I use the following new technologies: 1. The introduction of the UCLA technology, the use of disposable balloon dilation tube, so that the expansion in one step, instead of the original expansion tube that requires repeated expansion, greatly reducing the risk of surgery. 2.All dilatation and tube placement are carried out under X-ray fluoroscopy to avoid complications caused by blind operation. 3.The use of large channels, always maintain the low pressure in the renal pelvis, to avoid the occurrence of postoperative infection. 4.The latest generation EMS lithotripsy is used, and the incidence of residual stones is low. With the above changes, it makes percutaneous nephrolithotomy a very safe and easy routine surgery.
