What is microscopic lesion nephrotic syndrome

Microscopic lesions are a pathological type of nephrotic syndrome that is clinically manifested by massive proteinuria, hypoproteinemia, hyperlipidemia, and edema. In renal pathology it can be manifested as normal light microscopy and immunofluorescence, but extensive fusion of peduncles of glomerular podocytes can be seen under electron microscopy, which can cause massive proteinuria. The treatment is usually hormone therapy alone, and this pathology is very sensitive to hormones, and the effect is often achieved within four weeks. For recurrent microscopic lesions, hormone combined with cyclophosphamide or hormone combined with tacrolimus immunosuppressive therapy can be used to prevent the recurrence of nephropathy.
