Screening for Guillain-Barre syndrome

The examination methods for Guillain-Barre syndrome are as follows: 1. CT or MRI of the spinal cord: If there are conditions, it is generally recommended to do MRI of the spinal cord. Spinal cord MRI can first exclude non-occupational or compression, but there are certain contraindications, such as the presence of dentures, placed stents, internal fixation surgery can not do spinal cord MRI, can only do spinal cord CT; 2, cerebrospinal fluid examination: cerebrospinal fluid examination is the normal said lumbar puncture. The results show that the cerebrospinal fluid is generally normal and does not show high pressure. The cerebrospinal fluid may be mildly high in white blood cells, but the protein, chloride, and sugar are basically normal, and the color is normal; 3. Judgment by symptoms and signs, including the onset, is made by medical personnel to determine whether it is Grinbarr’s syndrome, such as symptoms may be involved bilaterally, but not necessarily symmetrically. If the onset is acute there may be motor sensory and autonomic dysfunction. If a diagnosis of Guillain-Barre syndrome is confirmed, it should be treated aggressively to leave room for treatment for future recovery.
