Early symptoms of prostate cancer

Prostate cancer is a cancerous mass located in the prostate gland. Generally, in the early stages, there may not be any discomfort due to the small size of the mass. In exceptional cases, there may be a rapid increase in the size of the prostate cancer mass and symptoms of difficulty in urination. In the early stages of the disease, prostate cancer does not show symptoms because the size of the mass is so small that it does not press on the bladder neck causing obstruction of the urinary outlet. However, in some patients, prostate cancer grows rapidly and the volume of the prostate gland keeps increasing in the early stage. Once it presses on the bladder neck, there will be gradually increasing difficulty in urination, especially at night. The prostate cancer is a very common disease. This is the main symptom of prostate cancer. Health checkups can help detect prostate cancer early, such as finding a lump in the prostate gland during a prostate exam and then having blood drawn for a prostate-specific antibody test. If the value of this test is found to be abnormally high, further biopsies can be performed to detect prostate cancer. In most cases, prostate cancer does not show obvious symptoms in its early stages. Only as the disease progresses do symptoms such as difficulty urinating, weight loss, etc. appear.
