Ganciclovir is mostly used for patients with cytomegalovirus infections caused by immune impairment. For example, maintenance therapy for cytomegalovirus retinitis occurring with immune impairment. Ganciclovir is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to ganciclovir, and should be used with caution in patients with psychiatric abnormalities, significant hypoxia, electrolyte disorders, and severe hepatic or renal insufficiency. 2. Acyclovir is mostly used in the treatment of herpes simplex and herpes zoster caused by herpes simplex virus. Acyclovir is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to Acyclovir, and should be used with caution in patients who are dehydrated or have liver or renal insufficiency. Both acyclovir and ganciclovir should be used under medical supervision. For patients with combined viral infections, it is recommended that patients go to regular hospitals and choose appropriate antiviral drugs under the guidance of doctors for active treatment, and not blindly use drugs.
