Effects of Febuxostat

Febuxostat is a new type of anti-gout drug that is used to treat gout by reducing the production of uric acid. It is generally used for long-term treatment of patients who have had gout attacks or symptoms and whose blood uric acid levels exceed the standard. Febuxostat can cause gastrointestinal side effects such as nausea, vomiting, constipation and dry mouth, but they are generally mild. Therefore, for patients with combined coronary heart disease, especially the elderly or those who are using NSAIDs, if chest pain, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, or arrhythmia occurs during taking the drug, stop taking the drug immediately and go to the local regular medical institution as soon as possible.
