New treatment for aplastic anemia

There are two ways to treat aplastic anemia. The first is to apply a combination of treatments, including immunosuppressants, cytokines, blood transfusions and stimulation of bone marrow hematopoiesis. This treatment usually takes effect about 4 months after treatment. The second is bone marrow transplantation. A suitable donor is required. The main problems are rejection and implantation. Wang Hengxiang, Hematology Research Center, Air Force General Hospital Our hospital has achieved good results by applying MSC combined with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation on the basis of hemophase treatment for leukemia. The donor can be a relative fully compatible, a Chinese bone marrow bank fully compatible, or a parent semi-compatible. It allows many patients to have a chance of treatment.
