Features and advantages of Chinese medicine in the treatment of cerebral hemorrhage

”Stroke disease” includes two categories: “ischemic stroke (cerebral infarction)” and “hemorrhagic stroke (cerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, etc.)”. It occurs mostly in the elderly, especially those who suffer from “hypertension”, “diabetes” and “hyperlipidemia”. According to Chinese medicine, elderly people with insufficient positive energy may experience wind, fire, phlegm and dampness from the outside world, or due to poor living habits, emotional instability or chronic diseases, liver wind, fire, phlegm and dampness, or blood stasis blocking the meridians, which may lead to meridian blockage or blood vessel rupture, blood overflowing outside the veins, resulting in brain dysfunction and inability to normally direct the flow of qi and blood through the meridians to the corresponding parts of the body, thus Paralysis of limbs, speech difficulties, confusion, and even death may occur. In winter, late autumn and early spring, the human body, like nature, is in a season of heavy yin qi and relatively low yang qi, so it is the season when stroke is most likely to occur. Once a stroke occurs, especially a “cerebral hemorrhage”, it is especially important to choose an appropriate treatment plan because of its high mortality and disability rate. The modern medical treatment principle is “management of blood pressure to prevent rebleeding, dehydration to lower cranial pressure, prevention of complications and cerebral protection”. However, we believe that this is still a rather negative approach. This is because the immediate cause of paralysis or other dysfunction is not actively addressed: the blood clot that spills out of the ruptured blood vessel – the “stasis”. This clot not only causes damage to the brain function in the corresponding area, but also causes secondary damage to the surrounding healthy brain tissue, further impairing the brain function and worsening the symptoms. How can we actively treat “cerebral hemorrhage”? Traditional Chinese medicine offers an ideal solution: to benefit qi and help correct the problem, and to remove blood stasis and clear the orifice. According to the nature of the “blood stasis”, Chinese herbs such as Panax ginseng and Chuanxiong are used to “resolve the blood stasis” to promote the absorption and dissipation of the hematoma in the brain and protect the affected peripheral brain cells, and ginseng is used to maintain the basic function of the damaged brain cells and help dissipate the blood stasis. At the same time, according to the individual condition of the patient, we also use methods such as pacifying the liver and submerging the yang, nourishing the yin and quenching the wind, dispelling phlegm and draining heat from the internal organs, in order to adjust the functions of the five internal organs and six internal organs of the patient, so as to achieve overall balance and harmony. If acupuncture therapy is added at the same time, specific points such as “Neiguan, Renzhong and Sanyinjiao” and specific techniques such as “awakening the brain and opening the mind” are chosen to stimulate the meridians directly and stimulate the meridian qi, we will get twice the result with half the effort and better promote the rehabilitation of the body function, language function and cognitive function. This will better facilitate the rehabilitation of physical, speech and cognitive functions.
