What causes testicular swelling?

Testicular swelling is usually caused by orchitis, epididymitis, epididymal tuberculosis, or other diseases such as spermatic sheath effusion or varicocele.
1. Testiculitis: Testiculitis is a disease caused by bacterial, viral, chlamydial and other infections, patients will have high fever, chills, testicular enlargement and pain and other symptoms.
2. Epididymitis: Epididymitis is a common inflammatory disease of male reproductive system, the cause of which is related to bacterial infection, urine reflux and other factors, and mainly manifested as swelling and pain in epididymis.
3. Epididymal tuberculosis: Epididymal tuberculosis is a common male reproductive tract tuberculosis, which is caused by tuberculosis bacillus invading the epididymis, mostly secondary to renal tuberculosis. The main manifestation is hard nodule in epididymis, which is slowly enlarged and will discharge fluid locally after rupture.
Other diseases such as spermatic sheath effusion, varicocele, spermatitis, spermatic cord hemosiderosis nodule, testicular tumor and other diseases can also cause testicular swelling.
