In general, the impact of diet on a child’s ADHD symptoms is minimal. However, if some dietary adjustments can be made to be healthier, it can contribute to the child’s psycho-behavioral health. Summarizing the results of current research on dietary treatment, the following conclusions are drawn: Eat a diet rich in cooked or raw vegetables, fruits, high-fiber grains with high-quality protein (fish, eggs, meat, cheese, etc.), and natural colors and less processed foods. Appropriate supplement to eat: free fatty acids (mainly is omega 3), can be obtained from deep-sea fish (grouper, green spot, red fish, etc.), flaxseed, oily fish (sardines, mackerel), etc. Try to avoid: foods that cause allergies in children, foods containing artificial colors, snacks high in sugar and fat (cookies, candy, drinks, cookies, chocolate, chips, ice cream, pizza, etc.).
