Midwifery means helping the child to be born, which means that during the process of vaginal birth, the medical staff takes appropriate measures to help the fetus to be delivered smoothly through the mother’s birth canal. In the process of assisted labor, the midwife should closely observe the progress of labor, the vital signs of the mother, the safety of the fetus in the uterine cavity and the psychological changes of the mother, keep track of the progress of labor and the changes of the fetal heartbeat, and guide the mother to take reasonable rest and activities. When the cervix is fully opened, the mother should be instructed to hold her breath correctly, and during the progress of labor, the mother should be encouraged to eat appropriately to preserve her strength, and when it is found that the fetus is difficult to be delivered, timely measures should be taken.
