Lung cancer is a malignant tumor that seriously threatens people’s life and health. In the eyes of many people, having lung cancer is as terrible as being targeted by death. The National Cancer Prevention and Treatment Research Office has recently announced the current situation and trend analysis of lung cancer incidence in China. In recent years, the incidence rate of lung cancer in many major cities in China has been increasing year by year, and has leaped to the first place in the incidence rate of various malignant tumors. In 2001, more than 1 million people died of lung cancer worldwide, with a mortality rate of 40.31/100,000. Among cancer deaths, lung cancer is the 1st cause of death for men and the 3rd cause of death for women. It is predicted that 900,000 people will die from lung cancer in China every year in 2025. In China, more than 95% of lung cancer patients first visit general hospitals at all levels, and general hospital respiratory or internal medicine physicians lack the necessary alertness to lung cancer. According to the survey, among the cases diagnosed so far, 85% of lung cancer patients miss the valuable time for radical surgery. Early manifestations of lung cancer: unexplained irritating dry cough; persistent cough after cold and flu; sudden onset of blood in sputum or a little fresh blood; diffuse unfixed chest pain, or chest pain, back pain, shoulder pain, epigastric pain, etc.; recurrent pneumonia at fixed sites. When these conditions occur, you should go to the hospital promptly for examination and clear diagnosis. Preventive measures: men should quit smoking, the risk of lung cancer for active smokers is 20-30 times that of non-smokers, and passive smokers can increase the risk of lung cancer by 30%-50%; women should improve the kitchen fume environment. In addition, the environmental protection department should strengthen the treatment and purification of industrial waste gas, automobile exhaust and soot.
