How to clean hair into the ear

Hair in the ear is generally not easy to get out by the patient because the hair is fine and soft, so it is difficult to get it out with an ear spoon. If the hair is in the ear canal, the doctor can use otolaryngoscope to check where the hair is located. If the hair strands are deeper in the ear canal, they can be first clamped out with ear tweezers under endoscopic guidance, or if they cannot be clamped out, the ear canal can be flushed with saline. In the case of small hair strands that are close to the eardrum, you can try to blow the hair out with a hair dryer to see if the hair can be blown out, but only if the wind speed of the hair dryer is not too high and the distance from the ear canal is kept to avoid the risk of perforation of the eardrum.
