What are psychosomatic disorders? How are psychosomatic disorders classified?

Many patients do not know what “psychosomatic diseases” are, and they do not know whether they can go to the “psychosomatic medicine department” for consultation. What is psychosomatic illness? At present, there are two kinds of psychosomatic diseases: narrow and broad. In the narrow sense, psychosomatic diseases refer to somatic organic diseases in which psychosocial factors play an important role in the onset and development, such as primary hypertension and ulcer disease. As for somatic functional disorders in which psychosocial factors play an important role in the pathogenesis and development, they are called psychosomatic disorders, such as neurotic vomiting and migraine. In the broad sense, psychosomatic disorders refer to somatic organic diseases and somatic functional disorders in which psychosocial factors play an important role in the pathogenesis and development. Obviously, the broad sense of psychosomatic diseases includes the narrow sense of psychosomatic diseases and narrow sense of psychosomatic disorders. Classification of psychosomatic diseases: 1, circulatory system: primary hypertension, coronary arteriosclerotic heart disease, neuropathic angina pectoris, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, functional premature beats, primary glaucoma. 2. Some people have investigated 245 cases of cancer inpatients, 66.9% of the cases had negative emotions before the disease, while the control group only had 15.5%. A study of 30 breast cancer cases by Gerry et al. pointed out that there was a significant association between the development of cancer and stimulating life events. In his famous book “Psychosomatic Medicine”, Elleheid included cancer as a psychosomatic disease. The occurrence of malignant tumors is also related to social factors, and smoking and environmental pollution can cause cancer.
