What’s wrong with uneven thyroid echoes?

Uneven thyroid echogenicity is an inconsistency in the density of the thyroid parenchyma. If the echogenicity of the thyroid gland is uneven, it is more serious. This generally suggests that the thyroid gland is combined with some lesions, and the patient is recommended to improve the thyroid function, to clarify whether there is an abnormal thyroid function. If the echogenicity of the thyroid gland is uneven and the thyroid function is normal, it is generally not very harmful. If there are changes in thyroid function, such as hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, the treatment should be decided according to the clinical manifestations of the patient. Generally, patients with hyperthyroidism will show symptoms of high metabolism such as panic, chest tightness, sweating all over the body, trembling hands as well as significant weight loss and loose stools. For these patients, anti-thyroid and anti-hyperthyroid medications should be actively taken. For patients with hypothyroidism, if they have low metabolism symptoms such as generalized coldness, weakness, depression, and dry stools, they should be advised to take thyroid hormone supportive therapy such as eugenol. Therefore, depending on the type of disease, different treatment programs are given.
