For tumors on the soles of the feet, different treatment methods can be adopted depending on the nature of the tumor. If the tumor on the bottom of the foot is a benign lesion, such as a tendon sheath cyst, patients with smaller tendon sheath cysts can be closely observed and do not need special treatment. If the tendon sheath cyst is slowly increasing in size, accompanied by frictional pain on the bottom of the foot, tenosynovial cyst excision can be considered, and attention should be paid to complete removal of the cyst wall of the tendon sheath cyst during surgery to avoid causing recurrent attacks of the tendon sheath cyst. If the tumor on the sole of the foot belongs to malignant tumor, such as cutaneous melanoma, it is necessary to expand the resection of the tumorous lesion, and combine with local radiotherapy and systemic chemotherapy after surgery to kill the tumor cells as much as possible. If the tumor cells are accompanied by destruction of the plantar bone, some patients need to undergo amputation.
